About Us

Now that you know a little about what we do, we wanted to share a little about who we are!

Our names are Courtney and Alex - the team of two behind the creation of A-Tent-Hut Sleepovers LLC! We are both Army spouses, hence the play on words with our business name.

A fun fact about us is that we both graduated from the same high school together, and we both played Varsity Volleyball together. After high school we both attended colleges at UNC Wilmington and ECU where we received degrees in Elementary Education and Speech Language Pathology. We both worked in our fields before having our children, but now are both temporarily home raising our youngest. As fate would have it, we have finally ended up at the same duty station after several moves across the country between the two of our families. With a lot of creative energy between the two of us and a need to achieve something that fulfilled our spirits, we both set out to create something that our community would love and enjoy.

Growing up, we were both Marine brats and moved all over the world from kindergarten up until high school. Some of our fondest memories involve our time spent with friends, when family wasn't near. Sleepovers were such an exciting pastime! We want kids to feel that same excitement and happiness that we felt while making memories, with a little extra magic thrown into the mix!
